Interwoven, a pioneer in content management software, wanted to ensure that its award-winning TeamSite product, could accommodate the coding differences required by internationalization-and the needs of multiple Asian languages and cultures.

Because TeamSite is a highly specialized program, the task of internationalization required a vendor who could verify all software functions as well being capable of working with different encoding techniques and character sets.

Interwoven sought a vendor that understood its unique content management technology and could produce high quality results. The company selected Real Idea, because Real Idea had made significant contributions during initial consultations on internationalization.

Real Idea Solution


During the process of internationalization, Real Idea engineers created character sets that assisted in testing and verifying TeamSite's code for compliance with Asian computing conventions. After the software was fully internationalized and ready to be modified for local languages, such as Simplified Chinese and Japanese, Real Idea translated and localized the TeamSite user interface, online help, and user documentation.

Results


Through Real Idea's efforts, TeamSite was successfully introduced in Asia-in particular, China and Korea-within three months, or record time for a project of this magnitude.
